Energy and Traffic Scheduling of Mobile Energy Storages

Inspired by the petroleum trunk, we propose
to utilize the mobile EVs as mobile energy storages (MESs) to deliver energy from areas with plentiful energy to areas with energy shortage. Our group is working towards the modelling of MES activities, scheduling of MESs in the coupled energy and transportation systems to make it compatible for the incoming carbon neutral society.

Learning-assisted Resource Allocation in 5G+ Vehicular Network

In 5G+ network, multiple resources are allocated dynamically to satisfy diverse services. However, with increasing number of mobile devices emerging in 5G+ network, the resource allocation becomes difficult, especially in dynamic and random environments. Our group is working towards learning-assisted multi-resource allocation in dynamic vehicular network to achieve the best QoS with minimum resource.

Resilient and Mobile-aware Smart Grid

The integration of renewable energy and highly power-rated appliances pose great pressure on the smart grid management, especially at the low-voltage distribution end.  We aim to develop cutting-edge resilient solution for precise demand prediction and real-time responding load balancing scheme using electric vehicles for smart grid.
